Using Mesh & Music not working together

You aren't doing anything wrong. Much as I hate to say it, the current lineup of Sena bicycle helmets do not support audio multitasking. They did in the past, but the feature was removed due to the exposed mic picking up wind noise while music is playing and causing crackling sounds and distortion. There was no acceptable solution to be found, as much as we would have liked to.

No, unfortunately. At this point in time, Sena does not allow device firmware to be downgraded.

This also just happened to us. The whole reason we bought these specific helmets was so we could hear music and communicate at the same time. Is Sena offering refunds now that the helmets aren’t doing what we were told they would do?

If the music stops as soon as Mesh is enabled, it could be a network or firmware issue. I'd make sure both devices are running the latest firmware, reboot them, and verify they're on the same Wi-Fi network. If Spotify works without Mesh but not with it, it's worth checking the Mesh configuration or contacting support.

Funny, you say contact support. I did just that and two times support told me nothing had changed in how these worked and that it was never possible to listen music and the mesh--that is not true. Our helmets functioned wonderfully until we did updates. Now we can not use them as we had for two years, and we are looking for replacements; and there are other options out there now!

I did just connect them back to the site, and they both had version 2.3 firmware.

Christine, I also tried telling SENA that--that originally it all worked as published, but after an update, it quit functioning in that manner. We too also purchased for that very reason. After their latest comment, I also checked the site, and both of our helmets were uploaded to the same firmware version (2.3), so my guess is that firmware update did something, but apparently they won't look into it. Not at all impressed with their customer service or support!
