I had the same problem which I solved by installing a previous version of device manager: 4.4.7
    but not 4.4.8

Where will you able to download the 4.4.7 version?

    Hello all,

Had the same error message when trying to update my Spider ST1 to 2.2.2. I used USB-C to USB-C cable and I was blocked at the 5% milstone. Changed the cable to USB-A to USB-C and the update went through on the first try. My guess is full USB-C is not compatible with the protocole used by the Sena Device Manager (speed or parity issue I suppose)

    Hope that helps !!

Hi every one. I have the same problem, tried to contact Sena service, but they dont response. I tried to restore firmware, upgrade it, with many device manager versions, many drivers too, but nothing work. mesh Coms doesnt work, and cant pair with the other spider or any intercom.

I changed the USB port on my PC from USB2 to USB3 and it worked. That was the only change. Tried with two devices.

I had this problem and found this thread. Connecting a USB-A to USB-C cable fixed the problem for me. I had initially used a USB-C to C cable and it recognized the device and started the process but always failed at 5% saying it couldn't get status. It's what Roman Pelletier suggested above.
