    Hi Ed,

I don't think it matters now. What matters is which device (iPhone or SM10) connects to your SMH10 first. If the iPhone connects first, it will take the A2DP channel and you won't hear the SM10.

You can avoid this by doing a factory reset on the smh10, this will clear the paired devices. Then pair the iphone as HFP only to smh10.  Pair the SM10 (mobile phone pairing) with smh10.

    Hi, Ed,
The SMH10 will try to connect to last paired device first.
    Your pairing procedure is below.
    1) Pairing between SMH10 and iPhone : HFP and A2DP
    2) Pairing between SMH10 and SM10 : A2DP

The SMH10 will try to connect to SM10 first via A2DP.
And, SMH10 will try to connect to iPhone second via HFP when SM10 connection established.
You don't need to pair using Selective HFP pairing between SMH10 and iPhone.

    Hi, Ed:

I'm using a Samsung Galaxy S3 and I'm considering an SM10 (as soon as they fix the low volume issue) so my wife can get audio.  I'm confused about how the pairing will work too. I want it to work so that if I just walk up to the bike with the phone in my pocket, my SMH10 will pair phone and audio to it. But if I plug the audio jack of the phone into the SM10 and power it up, I want the audio to go to both helmets. From step #1 and #2 in the post above mine, it sounds like this is possible. Do I have it right?

I figure with the SM10 I'll be able to find some way to get the audio source from the AM/FM radio in my '97 Electra Glide Classic (not the Ultra with intercom etc) and feed it to the SM10 audio jack. Then my Galaxy cable would go to the AUX to be able to override it, Right?

    Hi, Terry,

Below is the pairing steps for your requirement.
    1) Pairing between SMH10 and Galaxy : HFP and A2DP
    2) Pairing between SMH10 and SM10 : A2DP

If you want to use only Galaxy, please turn off the SM10 and turn on the SMH10.
In this case, SMH10 connect to Galaxy using HFP and A2DP.
Also, you can use phone call and listening music from your Galaxy.

If you want to use Galaxy with SM10, I advise you to turn on the SM10 first.
In this case, SMH10 connect to Galaxy via HFP and it connect to SM10 via A2DP.

If you connect to Galaxy to AUX on SM10 and play music, the volume of AUDIO IN signal is down to a certain level.
