Firmware Update V1.0.1
I was prompted by my Phone when connected to the app to install the new firmware version (v1.0.1).
When trying to do so through the Sena device manager I get to the point where I download the firmware image and then it tries to install it, it gets to 13% and then shows me an error message in the Device manager that the firmware is corrupted & to try again.
I have downloaded the firmware several times BUT still have the same problem.
Thanks
Nigel

I called them, opened a ticket, and posted on here.

UPDATE:
Looks like Sena support is responding to support tickets now.0 -
I've had constant feedback from Sena (or Agent) on my SD card issue. They want to do an RMA, but I don't think that's gonna solve the problem. I'd rather wait till another update comes out to see if that helps first. I just find it odd that the 10C can write to the SD card while in camera mode, but can't when updating.

I guess if my unit has a weird corrupt image that can't recognize the card properly then that would be a different case. Not entirely sure, but I've done different methods and gotten the same result. I updated a Sena SMH10 last night on the same computer with no problem, though.

Brandon,
Have you tried to format the SD card from the 10C unit itself? Also, have you tried a different computer to do this?

I've formatted different SD cards using the 10C along with attempting an update on three different computers.

Gotcha. You may have a defective unit?
Am I the only one that has the issue of it only saving the first picture and nothing after??0 -
Possibly, but I've gotten an up to two week processing period from the time they receive the unit..
And I have not had that issue, although my video tagging does lose sync between video and audio. That is fixed in the newer version, though. Do you still have this issue after updating to the new firmware?

Yeah I'm on 1.01. 0 -
I'm going to spin up a fresh install of Windows 7 in a VM and see if I get the same errors.

Haha, awesome!
Speaking of VMs, I just took a snapshot and upgraded my VM from 8.1 to 10. So far, it's much better without any compatibility issues.0 -
Sena responded to me about the issue and said they're working on it. So new firmware for everyone is likely. 0 -
Ideally, one that does not involve using the SD Card to upgrade. Also, same result even on a fresh install, lol..
And awesome! I'm still waiting on my update to roll through for my main desktop at home. Maybe I can update my 10C on 10 instead of 7, haha.

Brandon,
If you have an activated Windows 7 copy, just get the media creation tool from Microsoft. I upgraded earlier. It's super easy and automated.0 -
Trying to do an update using my iMac and version 2.4 of Sena's BlueTootDeviceManager but it keeps telling me it can't contact the server and it, along with the phone app claims that 1.0 is the latest firmware! Have they pulled the 1.0.1 firmware update?

Yes, they have.

Now that there is very little evidence that version 1.0.1 ever existed, I'm trying to consider if I should revert back to version 1.0, or just stay with 1.0.1 until the next official firmware update. And I hope they include some way to allow the handlebar remote to control the camera functions on the 10C. Otherwise it becomes a huge waste of money.

A new firmware update for the 10C, v1.0.2, is now available to download through the Sena Device Manager. Here are the details http://www.sena.com/category/firmware/firmware-10c/.

I'm guessing my 10C unit is a dud because I still get the same No SD card error even on Windows 10 and while trying firmware 10C-v1.0.2. :(

Brandon,
Sena told me to send in my unit as well. I hope they can do some sort of advance replacement for me. =\Taney

Some have reported success using 64gb mSD cards and it may work but it definitely doesn't work for firmware updates. I had to swap in my 32gb and the update to 1.02 went through.

Tried two different 64gb mSD and no luck.. switched to a 16gb and no hangups whatsoever.
Tried on a Mac with no luck at all... with Windows it was painless.

Just went through this whole thread after the same "no sd card" problem. Still no go. Wow I have to say this 10C is a steaming pile of crap. If they offered me my money back I'd jump at the chance!

had the same problem with the SD card, always the same error "Nor SD card", if the camera does not recognize the SD card, you can not upgrade the firmware and you can not use the camera ( Just radio and bluetooth). I made many test and and finally I found the problem. If I keep the angle camera on 0 degrees, it works fine, but when I turn it to 30 degrees or different angle the recording video stop and the problem with the SD card appears again and it is necessary to reset the camera with the back pin.
Keep the angle camera in 0 degrees and star again with all process.
I don know if it is a problem with my camera or with the software.

Still having problems despite everything in the threads. I was hoping I would find a work around to keep people from doing unnecessary RMAs, but I've run out of ideas. The only thing I haven't done is buy a new sd card. Which.. I'm hesitate to do as my current sd cards are recognized fine while in use. Maybe I bought this thing too early before the bugs were ironed out.

Sena, your Quick start guide and full manual need to include the Micro SD card format process as the first thing to do once you power it on. You can essentially brick the 10c in about 5 minutes trying to update firmware. Or stop pushing firmware updates that can fail without a formatted SD card, because it took video and pictures just fine before hand. I've lost the voice prompts so I cannot get to the Formatting feature in the device. You need better QA and documentation.

Following the instructions posted by "Sena" on July 21, 2015 in this thread, except I had to restore the firmware back to 1.0 first to get the voice prompts back so I could format the SD card in the device. After that the firmware upgrade was successful.

I thought I was having a microSD card issue as well. I cannot get the camera to record if the camera is not originally turned on while the camera is set at 0 degrees. If the camera is turned on while at 0 degrees I can then adjust the angle and record video. Weird and inconvenient. I cannot get the camera to format the card - currently on sw version 1.02

After many attempts with the 64 gig card I swapped it for an 8 gig and it went through fine. I have re installed the 64gig card and will continue use.
