Had the same issues with my new 10C as most people here did, I continued to get the "Corrupted File" message.  I found that by selecting the link above that points to Sena Download page (post on August 12th 2015) I downloaded that file saved to my PC, took a couple times, I think the Server at Sena is slow . . . it timed out a few times before it got the whole file.  Once I did, I had no issues.  I did notice that there is a new 1.03 firmware file on that site . . . I used it for my update.

Which leads me to my question:  I jumped from version 1.0 to 1.03 I'm assuming the firmware is all encompassing of any previous updates and I don't need to to step through updating all firmware levels, just want to verify that this assumption is correct?

Hey everyone. I just got the 10C and was a bit upset at first. I had originally bought a 32GB SanDisk microSD to use with it.  I tried everything on this list twice; formatting the card using the 10C, performing the reset, still no joy.

I called tech support and they recommended a Samsung microSD UHS-I Card. I got one from Best Buy for $24 and that card fixed my issue.

I just updated to v1.0.4 without a problem.

    Here's a link to the one I got: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/samsung-pro-32gb-microsdhc-class-10-uhs-1-memory-card-black-white/4568504.p?id=1219769552485&skuId=4568504

Just wanted to leave this here in case anyone else comes across the same issue!

Just got my new Sena 10C today, purchased for my upcoming motorcycle trip to Russia. I am running Mac El Capitan, version 10.11.4 at home.

No matter what I try, I get an error message at 16%, when attempting to update the firmware from 1.0.2 to 10.1.4, stating that: "Failed to update firmware. No SD card".

I have reformatted the Micro SD (it's a 32GB) card directly from the Sena 10C.

I have also done a FAULT RESET (with the paper clip).

    Nothing gives.

Additionally, once I have done a FAULT RESET, I also need to delete and reinstall the Sena Device Manager program, as otherwise I also get the following error message: “Failed to recognize device... cannot open USB”.

Last thing I will try tomorrow is to reformat the micro SD in FAT32 format, just in case that does anything. If that also fails, it's going back where it came from. And I'll be very annoyed ^^

update: reformatted all 3 micro SD cards in FAT32 - the 4GB, the 16GB and the 32GB.

still a no-go - micro SD cards still not recognized.

no response from SENA either. my request has not even been assigned yet.

sending the 10C back to Revzilla for reimbursement. don't even want to try pushing my luck with an exchange.

I forgot to update this. I ended up doing a rma for my unit having this problem. They sent a new in the box unit with updated firmware. Did not have issues updating to the last two firmware releases even with the same SD cards.

So, if you are having issues with this, I suggest going ahead with the rma. It will take about two weeks depending on your location to get it back from the day you send it off.

Hey, I just got my Sena 10c Friday May13 2016. I purchased mine with 2 32Gb Sandisk Ultra cards (because they said "purchased by other shoppers who bought this item"). I had the same issues with no SD card error. I followed everything here 3 or more times. I was getting very frustrated to say the least. I read the post from David Rymkiewicz March 17 1:32 PM and figured I'd try that before sending this back. I went up to BB, picked up a Samsung PRO Plus 32GB card. Worked like a charm, went thru and update the firmware in about 5 min. Went out for a ride with it, it worked great!

The BB guy asked me specifically if I need a card for a goPro, I said not a GP but a Sena. He said this is what you need, because of faster write speeds. Thums up to that guy!

Try this card before you send it back!

Should be fine, but this one reads and writes faster, and is close to the same price:
