Hi there, just after downloading the new 1.2 beta software for smh5,

First I would like to say that I am very pleased with it so far, been able to use it now with two phones at once is a great improvement for me its great that you continue to activly upgrade and bring imporvement to existing devices----keep up the good work

I wanted to ask, I noticed there is a new option to turn on or off " High Quality A2DP "

can you explain how this mode works.... does it have something to do with supporting the transmission  of music over  a2dp using either APT-X or acc codecs. I ask because  if it does to benefit from it, its necessary to also have a bluetooth phone or device that also implements the same  standard. something I would very quickly look at doing only I need to know for sure first, thanks

High Quality A2DP does not support APT-X over Bluetooth for SMH10. We will do the feasibility of applying it to SMH5 as well to enhance music sound quality in the next version of SMH5 firmware. We will keep you informed later.

How about adding it (at least) for your own SM10 as the transmitter! :)

I agree with the above. My note 3 supports apt-x as do most new phones. If I plug into my SM10 the audio is downgraded. For the SM10 to be effective it needs an upgrade to APT-X audio. An on board amp would also be nice. Disappointing that a company like SENA is unwilling to stay current yet still charges a premium for out dated products.

The initial postings for APT-X support are over a decade old... is there any chance this could be incorporated?

It is a shame that the "best" manufacturers are using SBC codec instead of AptX, AAC or LDAC...
