I'm disappointed in the SM10 when two helmets (mine and my passenger) are paired... tons of drop-outs / fast-forwards.  It is fine when only one helmet is on... 4.1.1 firmware.

I've paired 4.1.1 with my R1200RT with factory defaults... did you turn the bass all the way down on the R1200RT's tone settings?  That REALLY helps, for some reason they're pushing way too much ba...
