Ken Kimari It has nothing to do with the 20s and everything to do with the iphone. iphone sends audio to the 20s from both the music app and the navigation app - the 20s doesn't have control over this and you can't change it with the iphone. The phone automatically ducks - lowers the volume of the music when it receives the navigation cue.
Connect the phone to the 20s. When in the nav app, raise the volume level on the phone to max and when you get a nav cue, adjust to a comfortable level with the 20s. It should then work properly with either music playing or not. The 20s has independent volume levels for phone, intercom, music, and voice command. Adjust them while in whatever mode you are in.
Multi tasking is for when you have an intercom conversation going at the same time and you want to hear music and/or your nav app at the same time. The 20s will duck the music and nav cues when either you talk or your intercom friend talks then immediately come back up to your set volume when you stop. You can get the music and/or nav cues not to duck if you turn on Nav app support. (you may have to play around with the volume levels with both the phone, 20s music and 20s intercom to get everything where you want it if you use Nav app support. Nav app support works best in an intercom conversation without music. (tends to be distracting to my riding if I'm getting too much audio input - music, nav, and buddy. But that's just me.)
Audio boost doesn't do much. Increases treble level to give the impression it is louder. Works best if you are just using intercom but it craps out the music for me.
Confusing? A bit. Play around with the various settings (not while riding please!) and I'm sure you'll come up with a combination that works for you. Hope this helps.
