  I'll relay what I did, but it took a lot of messing around to figure this out.

  TL;DR - turn off all VOX functionality.

  I ride with and without my wife. We each have 50S units. When I ride with her, she likes Mesh mode on to be able to chat when she wants.  I have no 'beep, beep' (it's some sort of error message, I think) when she's with me on a ride.

  When I ride alone, I have the 'beep, beep' error.  So, I spent about 45 minutes one day, just playing with the Sena app on my phone and riding...and stumbled upon the VOX connection.

  In the app...  Device Settings | Utility | VOX | I deactivated VOX phone and VOX Intercom.

  I still need to do a bit of fiddling, because as soon as I deactivated VOX phone, I've lost the ability to "Hey Google!" on my phone.
