+Mesh Adapter - can all units in a group use this?
Hi all, for reference: https://www.sena.com/product/plus-mesh
My riding buddies have:
- 20S Evo (me)
- SF4
- SF4
- SRL2
All have the ability to communicate in a group of 4. However, I would like to understand whether all units could run a Mesh group if we each purchased the +Mesh. Or do we need one "native" Mesh device in order for this to work?
Myself and the two SF4s had a 3 way group going and we couldn't maintain group chat for very long. One would drop out almost instantly and we just never seemed to be able to get the group back up and running until the next coffee stop.

Hi Ben. My understanding is that the +mesh adapter connects to one headset. Each headset will need a +mesh adapter for connecting to a mesh network. They state 800yd range between any two mesh connected headsets in open terrain. Spaced out between multiple units the overall range would be greater but that is totally dependent on terrain - expect line of sight generally. Here is the link to the quickstart guide. Unit connects via a bluetooth intercom connection with the headset. Hope this helps.

If you get them recommend you check for current firmware and update accordingly.

Hi, i have the same question than Ben L. Can two mesh adapter communicate together without a „native“ mesh for example 30K? We have a SF4 and a Schuberth Sena SC10UA.

It really doesn’t make too much sense to use mesh between two Bluetooth headsets. Mesh is more for a multiple group of riders. Certainly you can do what you are asking but unless you are planning on joining rider groups using mesh you will be spending money for nothing
