C'est vrai qu'un module MESH compatible voiture serait un vrai plus.

A voir si la techno Wave pourrait être utilisé via l'autoradio

    Not a Sena rep...

The answer to your 1st question seems to be 'no'. The helmet communicator in that device seems to be a Bluetooth-only device, which has a max of four parties connected.

Car communication could be arranged using something like a SPH10 Bluetooth Stereo Headset; again that headset would be included in the 'max of four parties' problem.

Sena's Mesh systems greatly increase the number of participants, as desired.

I'm looking to expand my helmet comms setup. Is there a way to reliably connect with more than three riders and communicate with someone in a car? I tried Bluetooth, but the range was awful and connecting more people was a pain. We had to use our phones, so now I'm looking at Mesh systems. Anyone familiar with them? They seem to work pretty well on long trips for connecting a small group of people.

The Outrush R only supports Bluetooth intercom for up to 4 users, so you won’t be able to expand beyond that directly. If you want larger groups or to connect with someone in a car, you’d need a Mesh-compatible device like the MeshPort Blue or a Sena unit with Mesh intercom support. That would let you bridge more users and different setups.

Yes — you can use the Sena MeshPort Blue adapter with your Sena Outrush R helmet, but with a few caveats. Below is a short answer you can post in the thread — and if you like, I can also pull in a more detailed solution.

    Hey Gordon,

The Sena Outrush R is Bluetooth-only, so max group size is 4 riders. You can’t expand it alone.

Workaround: If someone has a Mesh-capable Sena headset (50S/50R), you can use MeshPort Blue to bridge your Outrush R into their Mesh network, allowing larger groups.

Talking to someone in a car:

    • Pair your helmet to your phone and call them.

    • Or use push-to-talk apps like Zello.

    • For remote areas, a Sena SR10 + two-way radio setup works.

In short: MeshPort Blue can help only via another Mesh device; phone or radio options are easiest for car comms.
