Yep. That was it. Needed to use a specific data/power cable and not the WiFi adapter capable.

SRL3 -- Sena Updater Error message on PC "device not recognized"
I have new SRL3 on my Shoei Neotec 3 helmet. Wanted to make sure I have latest firmware. Using the provide cable. the USB port on my PC (Windows 11) is good, I've checked with other USB devices....
